Boston's Seaport District

The Seaport District, a micro-neighborhood of Boston's South Boston neighborhood, lies north of First Street and south of the Fort Point Channel and the Financial District.

For many decades what were long-neglected stretches of waterfront have recently undergone vast re-development after a $4 billion harbor cleanup. In lock step with changes up and down Boston's waterfront, the Seaport District has recently seen an influx of both commercial as well residential construction transforming the area into a vibrant neighborhood. Cultural and historic attractions and the soon-to-be-completed HarborWalk, a 47-mile public walkway along the water's edge, reconnect Boston's core with its harbor.

The area is now home to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, the Institute of Contemporary Art, several new hotels, restaurants, office towers and an array of contemporary loft living residential condominium buildings. Loft options range from renovated warehouses to newly built green buildings with many units featuring stunning views of either Boston Harbor, or Boston's downtown skyline.
